Yes, we got a stimulus bill, but it's a pretty wimpy one, and it's a small fraction of the aid that we've given the banks. It may be that over time the policy will change. I hope so, but it sure looks right now as though we're headed in the direction bankers, and Wall Street in general, want us to go.

The record's been mixed on re-establishing the rule of law in government, but it's a slight improvement. In the area of supporting science, definitely better. In other areas, we'll have to wait and see.Cujo359https://www.blogger.com/profile/10385213658828021737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885549900454136918.post-42930463723286187042009-04-04T10:11:00.000-07:002009-04-04T10:11:00.000-07:00I keep picturing John McCain in office, or worse. ...I keep picturing John McCain in office, or worse. And I wish I could judge what's going on behind the scenes. In the grand scheme of things the bonuses are small potatos, though irritating ones.

Totally agree with electing progressives who will fight for Congress' budgetary and governance role. Obama isn't immune to the corruption of the power ironically left to him by the previous occupant.

Above all what we must NOT do is put the old bunch of crooks back in anytime soon. The few crooks Obama has kept on are nothing to the band of criminals who just left.george.whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10893495384863805805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885549900454136918.post-45002444347568419082009-03-17T22:33:00.000-07:002009-03-17T22:33:00.000-07:00Coordinated efforts almost seem counter to my natu...Coordinated efforts almost seem counter to my nature. Right now, I don't think we even have enough folks convinced that we have an Obama problem. When we do, then hopefully someone will have a plan.

Grindstones might be just the thing. How we can ...What we need is a coordinated effort. How we can start that, I don't know. However, with Jane and Glenn both making noise, it's possible we'll see some action we can partake in.

If you need any grindstones, let me know.

"Clashb."
