Quote Of The Day

Quote of the day honors go to Eli, in a comment about President Obama at his blog:

I think he decided that community organizing could be very… useful. He learned the techniques for mobilizing people, he learned the language for inspiring people, but he apparently never managed to absorb much of a moral code to go along with them.

Not Just An ATM (Comments)

What struck me about Obama's work as an activist was how little he seemed to have learned from the people who he was supposedly helping. Whether he meant it to be training for political office or not, Eli's right about what lessons he took from that experience, and what lessons he failed to learn.

At least, he is if Obama's actions are any guide to his goals in life. As Buddha would say:

“An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.”

Buddha quotes

There's wisdom in religion, if you're willing to dig for it.
