It's Still Winter Around Here

Image credit: Cujo359 (click to enlarge)

Apologies to dial-up users, but this is a nice photo.

Not all that long ago, I was telling a friend who just recently moved to this area that winter tends to end by late February up here in the Pacific Northwest. Not this year. This isn't a photo from December, it's from today.

One of these days, winter will end. Possibly by Spring.

Our valley gets very pretty when it snows. All winter, I've been thinking, "I'd best enjoy this, because it's the last time I'll see it before I move." Then it snows again.

I've given up on the enjoyment.

I remember feeling a little nostalgia for snow early this winter. I have no idea why.

Yep, got a fire going in the fireplace, and everything's just great as long as I don't have to go anywhere. Hopefully, this will all be melted away by tomorrow.
