On Friday I visited Saltwater State Park again. The last time, it was December, and the weather was just this side of awful. This time, though, you could pretty much choose your cloud cover. Here's a view toward the south, with Redondo Beach and Poverty Bay in the background:

Redondo was in the background in the first photo of December's article, but it was shrouded in the fog and mist.
This was the view to the north-northwest from that same location:
The photos were taken within a minute of each other. Note, though, that the foreground in the second picture is sunlit. The reason was that there was a front passing through, which is illustrated by this photo to the west:
A little further north, I took this photo, which is also toward the north. It's at the end of the park. That structure is apparently a stairway for local residents to descend to the private beach there. That's Normandy Park in the distance:
In the background, you can see a sailboat just off the point. Given how choppy the water was, it was probably a good day for sailing. And yes, it looks like there are some spots on the lens.
