Note that about a third of the way through Olbermann mentions demand, by way of saying that unemployed people can't buy anything and the rich don't buy very much. That's the problem, as every clueful economist I've read lately keeps yelling at the top of his or her lungs.
It's been just about nineteen months since I wrote The Audacity Of Dopes, an article on the collection of "free market" grifters Obama assembled to be his economics team. I'm still waiting for the progressive establishment to realize just what a disaster the economic policy they, and the President, have pursued has been.
In contrast to Eli, I'm not holding my breath.

It's astonishing how little respect Democrats are getting, even from the people who usually support them.
